Wal*Mart moves into Oakland: Jobs and Low prices move in to!

by Joseph F. Clarkson (lunar144 [at] hotmail.com)
All shall kneel before Sam Walton!
All your low prices are belonging to us!
Resistance is futile, we will not be undersold!
Our meat is freshly shipped in every week!
It is a one stop shop!
You'll find everything you need at Wal*Mart!
Sleep, Oakland, sleep!
by upton sinclair (irlandeso [at] riseup.net)
So I take it that you are not in support of Wal-Mart moving in, or at least hope that is what this posting is about. Feel free to also connect your comments to the article that is currently posted on the middle of our site.

No way to stop wal-mart.. but we can help the workers organize
by unions are old school
You call having union scum pulling cash from regular folk "organizing"? HA! Unions are a dying breed - look around. They are fading off the landscape - for good reason. They screwed up the workers of the major grocery stores and that is why them employees face cutbacks and eventual unemployment. This is not opinion - this is documented cold hard steely facts. Look at the numbers and ask the rank and file if they are pleased with their union. Only 'agitators with too much free time' say otherwise
by just wondering
And your better idea is what?
by better ideas
The "better idea" is simply no unions! They are counterproductive and a source of stolen money and broken promises. It's like ending a relationship between two people for the same reason. It just goes away.
