Presented the Young Women’s Task Force of the NWPC-SF, this free, public Karaoke Party features local elected officials such as Supervisor Fiona Ma and District Attorney Kamala Harris.

This promises to be a fun-filled ladies’ night out, but there is a serious message behind the music. A recent study funded by the Pew Charitable Trust found that only 22 percent of women between the ages of 20 to 30 describe themselves as regular voters. Other recent research notes that there are 22 million unmarried women who could vote, but don’t -- comprising the largest group of unregistered and non-voting citizens in the United States.

The NWPC-SF’s Karaoke Night offers young women an excellent networking opportunity in an informal social setting. Voter registration will also be available.
