17 Russian invaders eliminated near Gansolchu

Sunday afternoon Spokesman of the Military Council of State Defense Council Majlis al-Shura of Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (CRI) reported about a battle that happened near the village of Gansolchu Saturday morning. Chechen spokesman reported that mobile squads of Chechen Armed Forces traced the route of the movement of a large unit of the invaders’ Spetznaz (special forces). Chechen troops ambushed the aggressors and carried out a surprise attack on the enemy. 17 Russian invaders were killed on the spot as a result of a fierce gunfight that was continuing for almost five hours. Many aggressors were wounded. One Chechen Fighter fell in action and seven Mujahideen sustained various wounds. At the battle scene Chechen Fighters captured some weapons as spoils of war, including special weapons: 'threaders', special optical devices, night vision devices and modern bandaging materials, including the ones made in the US.

Starting Saturday afternoon until almost Sunday noon the outskirts of Gansolchu and the woodlands south of the village were under massive aerial strikes and artillery shelling. Systematic bombings and shelling are still continuing.



The Chechen side reported that Presidential Guard of CRI and operative units of Eastern Front of CRI Armed Forces attached to it took part in the operation against the invaders.



Specified reports on casualties in Avtury



Chechen Command has reported specified figures of casualties in Avtury. Chechen side reported that one Fighter fell in action (became a Shaheed/Martyr) and five were wounded in the battles on July 12 –13. The six Fighters who were considered missing in action or killed have now returned to their bases.



According to the specified reports, 25 Kadyrov’s collaborators and 13 Russian invaders were killed during the combat operation that Chechen Armed Forces carried out in Avtury. Over 60 invaders and collaborators were wounded. 12 collaborators were captured. Chechen troops also seized a large number of weapons: 32 automatic submachine guns, 13 grenade launchers, 7 sniper rifles, 47 disposable grenade launchers 'Mukha' ('The Fly'), 22 handguns, 9 PK machineguns, 19 lower-barrel grenade launchers, over 200 grenades and a large number of various ammo.
