Scooplet: Two members of the Bd. of Supes are about to lose their seats. ... The Mayor plans to appoint them to high office. That will allow The Gav to appoint two new, seemingly more amenable, members to the board, solidifying the mayor's strength and weakening Aaron Peskin's grip on the group.

The deal is set to send Tony Hall to Treasure Island as director of the island kingdom. It's supposed to be announced Wednesday. ... And Sophie Maxwell is set to become City Treasurer. I don't quite understand how Sophie's experience as a Muni electrician qualifies her for the money management job, but I guess her experience as a go-along-to-get-along pol makes up for any financial shortcomings. ... Tony Hall's main man, the estimable Frank Gallagher (formerly a columnist for this newspaper) called over the weekend to respond to the rumors flying around. Gallagher said the whole thing began when The Gav told Tony at a civic lunch June 22 how impressed he was with Tony's work getting Harding Park in shape, and that the mayor wanted Hall to tee off on T.I. next. As of Sunday, they hadn't settled on a "compensation package" for Hall.

So where does this leave T.I.'s current boss, Annemarie Conroy? Well, she goes over to the Emergency Services job held lately by Alex Fagan and Daniel Sullivan. This is a big gig ... all the homeland security money for S.F. runs through this office. ... Word is that Chris Cunnie, former boss of the Police Officers' Association, will become her deputy. And I expect Frank Gallagher will similarly join Tony on the beach. ... Who takes the supes' seats? Think mayoral advisor Mike Farrah for Tony's chair ... and Kimiko Burton for Maxwell's. ... There are many deals within the deals here. And here is where you read it first. Of course, now that it's out in the open, it could all go sideways. ...

'Grats and a welcome: Born Sunday at 4 a.m., a seven-pound, 20-inch boy, to Yuki and Adriel Hampton. Adriel is The Examiner's ace political editor. The lad was a surprise. Mom and Dad had expected a daughter and had chosen a name. So much for the accuracy of sonograms. Now it's back to the baby name books. The babe -- no name yet -- is their first. ...
