Democratic ABB Strategy Failure: they think we are idiots?
Do the rank and file Democratic politicians really believe that they will ride into power on the Kerry campaign's "Anybody But Bush" (ABB) bandwagon? If so, I believe they will have plenty of time to think about the flaws in their reasoning while they trudge home in defeat (again) after the November elections.
There is some truth in the observation that the logic of ABB *may* produce a tidal wave of Kerry-Edwards votes from the accumulated emotions of disgust, horror, anger and fear felt by many Americans towards Bush-Cheney. But there is no logical reason why rabid anti-Bush emotions should or will result in a powerful movement to unseat Republicans and to return Democrats to control in Congress.
In fact, if there is Justice in the Universe the Democrats will be smitten by plagues, boils, mysterious skin rashes, locusts and Fiery Swords of Righteousness.
For just as the purpose of the 9/11 attacks was strategic, so was the purpose of the Democratic Party in granting Bush total autonomy after 9/11. The Democratic strategy was to fold up their tents and allow Bush to run amok throughout the world. They didn't blink an eye at signing the PATRIOT ACT without even reading it. Nor did they take courageous stands about voting for the Iraq war -- or any of the other atrocities perpetrated by the Bush regime.
The Democrats held the towels and kept quiet while America and the hopes of people all over the world were raped, beaten and robbed. And now they expect to be elected Sheriffs?
Note that I say "they" in reference to 95% of the Democrats who are cowardly, self-serving traitorous dogs, and do not mean to assassinate the character of the courageous few like Barbara Lee, Cynthia McKinney and Dennis Kucinich. The 95% I am talking about are the Democratic politicians, and the party itself, who attempted to co-opt Bush's agenda by not only voting for the Police State at home in the form of the PATRIOT Act, and creation of the "Homeland" Security Department, but who criticized Bush for not doing enough to create the police state of the 21st century. Let me repeat that: during the past few years the primary Democrapic complaint has been that Bush has not been doling out enough money to fight terror in our towns, cities, counties and states. That is it, their entire game plan. They didn't question Bush's strategy or purpose, but merely quibbled about the details, like fascist policy wonks -- who have been lying doggo in our midst hoping that ABB will succeed so that finally *they* can hold the reins of consolidated power assembled by the Bush Regime!
For a moment let me turn the fire of my ire to Senator Dianne Feinstein from California. She loves to be photographed with President Bush as he signs new anti-terror laws. But did you see her national press conference? The one where she denounced the Bush establishment for the the Fourth of July arrest of two people for the "crime" of wearing anti-Bush t-shirts ...in public...at an event held on public property...for which they had valid admission tickets?
You missed Senator Feinstein's press conference denouncing the July 4 arrests? So did she. She's been AWOL for a long time. Now, I don't know every detail of her agenda, but overall she appears to epitomize the Democratic strategy; which is to behave like a Republican in public and at work. Which makes her a crypto-Republican.
I don't think Anybody Bush Bush applies outside of the presidential election. The disaffected voters who are now going to vote Kerry-Edwards because they loathe and despise Bush-Cheney -- if they think like I do -- will still have a spleen full of bile after punching Kerry's ticket.
My general plan for the election is to vote against every incumbent and to vote against every new law, except for new initiatives that get rid of old laws. If Ralph Nader were running for Senator in California he would get my vote. Hell, if Krusty the Klown were running against an incumbent like Dianne Feinstein he would get my vote.
The anger I feel at what has been done to my country won't be quenched with just one trip to the ballot box. This is generational. This is become a jihad, a crusade to uproot incumbent potted plants and truffle-grubbing swine, and to restore leadership of America to classical patriots who believe in the Constitution, in Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness -- without Big Brother regulating our personal affairs.
The Democratic strategy succeeded, all right. They gave Reich Fuhrer Bush enough rope to hang himself, to show his true colors. But in the process the Democrats showed their true colors too! And after November 2nd, I think that they should all go try to find honest work.
ABB? My hairy white ass.
How about this instead: Anybody But These People?
