July 24 (Saturday) 7:00 p.m. $5 New College Theater 777 Valencia St. (near 19th St.), San Francisco In a show called "Beans, Bacon & Gravy: Songs and Stories from the 1930s," the Rockin' Solidarity Labor Chorus presents working class humor from the era, oral histories about the Depression and the New Deal, and evocative songs including "Hard Travelin'," "Homage to Herbert Hoover," "God Bless The Child," "Hallelujah, I'm A Bum," and "Brother, Can You Spare A Dime?" =========================================== LaborFest 2004 is a month of film, music, poetry, theater, talks, tours, and other events celebrating labor, our history and future.
