July 26 (Monday) 7:00 p.m. Free Modern Times Bookstore 888 Valencia St. (near 20th St.), San Francisco This book reading will describe the lives of working class people in dirt poor Oklahoma and their struggle to survive. Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz's grandfather was an organizer in the IWW. She will also discuss a new book, "Lucy Parson's Writings," about the Haymarket labor militant and her life in the struggles for workers' freedom and justice. =========================================== LaborFest 2004 is a month of film, music, poetry, theater, talks, tours, and other events celebrating labor, our history and future.
