As usual, where American interest is concerned, there is a set of rules for America and its friends, and another set for the rest of the world. If it serves their cause to do so, America and its friends disregard international institutions at will.

The truth, though, is that Israel and America will not determine the future of the Middle East with gunships and Apache helicopters for the simple reason that no bullet can kill a people's just quest for freedom. The Palestinian youth who confront the military might of Israel everyday do so - not because they do not love life - but because life as it is now is not worth it; and therefore, they would rather die making a political statement.
