WOMEN AGAINST WAR; A BETTER WORLD IS POSSIBLE!

New York, New York – With hundreds of thousands of people in New York City to protest the Republican National Convention and thousands of journalists in town to cover it, this will be the perfect time to send a message to the world that the women of the United States are determined to work for a world based on non-violence and respect for all human life - not war, militarism and aggression.

CODEPINK: Women for Peace and others will host a “Women Against War” evening with Eve Ensler, Amy Goodman, Cynthia McKinney, Aya DeLeon, Noe Veneable, We Got Issues! and more on Saturday, August 28th 7pm at The Riverside Church 490 Riverside Drive.

On Sunday, August 29th at 11am join CODEPINK for a women’s rally at the foot of the Eleanor Roosevelt Statue at Riverside Park on 72nd Street followed by a march to join the massive United for Peace and Justice demonstration planned for later the same day.
