The protest begins at the Monte Rio Beach parking lot. The parade/march will
proceed to the entrance to the Grove. Dusty will perform the Resurrection of Care
ritual. The protest will proceed to the Monte Rio amphitheater for the performances
listed above where there will be tabling and general muckraking by peace and social
justice groups.

This is a waste of time. How many speeches and skits, everything that we've heard before, can you tolerate? Due to the security force at the Grove you never even get close. On top of that they've increased their vigilance even more. Who sees & hears you? The locals, who are tired of the circus and the money wasted on the extra cops, instead of local schools. If you want to feel good about doing something for the cause, educate your friends and neighbors with credible facts (there are enought out there) & encourage them to vote.

I avoid any event with David Rovics. How did this guy become so popular on the left? His voice is so annoying.

Bush won't be there nor will any other politicians, just a bunch of old guys. But it might be fun to party in the sun, just like they are doing.
Actually the people who we should prtest against are the airlines, how do you think these old guys get here?

>His voice is so annoying.

Yeah, they said that about Bob Dylan, too.

Maybe it's Rovics' lyrics?
The humor, anger, passion, compassion... that might be it.

If you want a good sample of DR, I recommend checking out his Friday night (July 16) show at AK Press in Oakland.
by Psychological warfare
It's a form a psychological warfare, letting the enemy know that we're always there. Following them. Waiting for them. Haunting them.
by heard it before
we're not willing to do what it takes to be rid of them.

by doing it
You're a self righteous ignoramus, and while you sit there expounding your alleged wisdom and proclaiming that you've "heard it before," we'll be out there doing it.

Ever since they put up Smokey The Bear posters in the NY subways, there have been no forest fires in NYC. That is level of meaningfulness your protests have to the gentlemen who come to Bohemia to enjoy music, food, and friendship. Their gathering has as much to do with world power as your greying hippie protests have to do with peace and justice.

We aren't hippies. Do you think Jeff Rense is a hippie?
There are two members of the Grateful dead amusing people inside Bohemian Grove this year. That's where the hippies are. Do you know how much Rolling Stones tickets are? They're $100. What sort of person do you think buys those - rich or poor?
by psychological warfare
There are a number of posts on this thread from people who dislike the yearly protest at Bohemian Grove. Most likely the Bohemian Club hires some poor hacks to produce those postings. The fact that those posts appear is a testimony to the psychological effect of the protest.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
