FIGHT BACK AGAINST CA'S UNLAWFUL SEIZURE OF MEDICAL MARIJUANA! Deadline: 8/17
Americans for Safe Access (ASA) is launching a "Return of Property"
campaign to make law enforcement think before they seize!
Medical marijuana patients in the state of California who have had their
medicine confiscated have a RIGHT to get it back or be justly
compensated for its loss. We need to send a message to cities and
counties across the state that bad medical marijuana enforcement
procedures can cost them!

Please forward!
This is our chance to show cities, counties, and the state that it is time
to stop arresting patients! And If they do not they will have to pay. The
beauty of the motion for return of property campaign is that once the
property is ordered returned, if it is ruined, missing or has been destroyed
than you are entitled to compensation!
We need as many people to participate in this as possible to send the
message that if the cities, counties, and state do not remedy this problem
than patients will!

counties across the state that bad medical marijuana enforcement
procedures can cost them!
ASA is organizing a simultaneous mass filing of "Return of Property"
claims across the state and a media event in Sacramento for August 17,
2004 to bring patients, caregivers and activists together to say "No" to
seizure and confiscation of medical marijuana.
We are looking for a "class" of patients and caregivers for this effort.
If you satisfy ALL of the following criteria, please contact ASA, as
soon as possible:
1) Your medicinal cannabis was confiscated by local, county or state
police during an arrest or law enforcement encounter and not returned.
The seizure must have taken place in California sometime after January
1, 1997.
2) Either you were never charged OR all of your charges were dismissed
OR you were acquitted of all charges.
3) Had a valid doctor's recommendation at the time of the
arrest/encounter AND currently have a valid doctor's recommendation.
In addition to a Sacramento media event, ASA will be supporting people
with press coverage in their communities to bring local attention to the
filings.
Help us mount a successful campaign to fight for as much returned
property as possible and to stop the unlawful seizures still happening
across the state.
