by How do they do that?
Are there instructions on how to do this? Can you give a link that would tell us how to re-create these billboards in other areas, like here in the South Valley? Or, better yet, just post the instructions here.
by photoshopped
It is just photoshopped. I live by the sign in question and it does not exist as "photographed".

You actually belive most of the crap here? ROFLMAO !!! Look at the border of the color on the sign - zoom up the picture in a photo-editor. They did not even do a good job.

Maybe this was "real." Maybe it's only memorex.

Who gives a fuck?

It's funny; enjoy it.

And the quote is real. That's the important part, huh?
by wrong
The important part is that Indymedia maintain its credibility as a news source by not publishing disinformation.

Maybe this site needs to outsource their fact checking. Michael Moore did.

What is the point of writing this?
If you live by this sign, where is it anyway?
You are so stupid, I was with the person who took this picture and it is 100% real.
He even took it with my camera.
Hey, think whatever you want to think but just know its real, buddy.

i believe someone earlier referred to me as "asshole" and claimed to live by the billboard and accused me of using photoshop to manipulate the "real" billboard into the picture that i posted earlier.

i would like to point out that not only are you an ignorant fuck, but you are also a liar.

i went back to the billboard today and took MORE pictures of different angles of it.

the "bad job" of photoshopping you accused me of earlier can actually be attributed to the actual BLFers (sorry to whoever actually made the billboard adjustments, i think it fucking rocks). it looks like they painted over the original text with a slightly lighter color of pink, so some of the text has a little bit of an outline.

anyway, if you are still convinced that i am a liar, here are the pictures i took today, and if that doesnt convince you, why dont you go walk to "the billboard in question" since you live so close to it (as you claim) and check out the billboard serial number to see if it matches the one i originally posted.

dont be so quick to try to discredit peoples articles, not only does it serve no purpose, but it makes you look like a bigger idiot than you actually are.

heres another angle. if youre not convinced, i'll upload more angles.
by hmm
Billboard alteration is a felony in some places, so I wouldnt be surprised if some of the "that isnt real" stuff you are responding to is actually an effort to try to get possible evidence.

>dont be so quick to try to discredit peoples articles, not only does it serve no purpose, but it makes you look like a bigger idiot than you actually are.

You’re dead wrong about this. It serves a vital purpose. It is absolutely crucial that anybody who reads any news on any website or in any paper or magazine, read with a jaundiced eye, because we are being lied to constantly. Indymedia has the additional problem of being the target of people who intentionally try to discredit us with bogus stories, misdirections to demos, enemy propaganda, gibberish, roorbacks, and forgeries.

No, we're not imagining this. They admitted it in public. In fact, they bragged:

hey, i dont think we need to worry about the pigs collecting "evidence" from indymedia on billboard libs like this. any evidence they want they could collect themselves. the people here are just ordinary folks with digital cameras documenting shit. you know, indy reporters. posting pics of diff angles of this billboard you discovered is not something you need to sweat, i dont think. a real nice billboard lib, btw!

and anyway, that's amateur. Here's an example of the real stuff; http://www.ilovebacon.com/063004/a.shtml
