Our Mission This event is a creative response to our frustrations, anger, sadness, disgust and collective disagreements with respect to our illegitimate Administrations disturbing decisions made in the name of freedom, fear, racism, and imperialist geopolitical strategy. Fuck WAR through Sound and ART is for all the people who feel the same way, but haven't found that political voice or action to clearly SHOUT Opposition. THE ART Installations are designed within this context, and use reverse propaganda and twisted ironic humor mocking bush-using images of Iraq, war and American imperial consumer commodities. This is a full on culture jam. We have uplifting imagery celebrating all peoples, third and first world to keep it metaphorically light. The Website will further explain our position and provide other options for people to be heard through various organizations working against Bush and for humanitarian efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq. It is clearly our intent NOT to KILL the THRILL. This is after all a party, Music, Movement, Art, friends, drinks, et al. Therefore consideration to the social environment balanced with provocative and challenging imagery is our goal. Projections are being designed on various spatial and dimensional objects. No flat wall screens here. Hanging shapes, screens, floor mounts, etc are all being considered for reflective mediums.We are using 4 to 6 projectors and 3-4 installation artists. The gallery of fine art displays will feature WAR thematically. The line up for performance is diverse, all are releasing new records, touring, and in alignment with our Fuck War Vision.
