HINDU fundis blast "lesbian" film
In my queer opinion (IMQO), Hindu fundamentalists resemble those in other religions, by sharing a hatred of love, and a love of hatred.
In northern India, ultra-orthodox Hindu fundi-fascists vandalize cinemas which dare to screen the Indian film "Girlfriend", about a lesbian relationship. Fearing violence, many cinemas won't show the film.
According to INDIAN EXPRESS, Hindu "forces of orthodoxy" try to ban not only films about homosexuality, but also about inter-religious romance, and "the pitiful condition in which widows live in Varanasi" ( a holy city). Right-wingers will attack "anything that could inspire viewers to seek liberation from socially imposed compartmentalisation...."
Fascistic fundamentalist movements arise among Protestants, Shia Muslims, Roman Catholics, Sunni Muslims, Anglicans, and Hindus alike. Though their theologies differ, they share a hatred of love, and a love of hatred.
IMQO (in my queer opinion), Bush, the Pope, and Bin Ladin caricature one another.

JULY 2004:
.......
USA summer: July-August-September (overview): Bush needs average voters, especially those who depend on television for news, to be distracted from Iraq-related issues until after the November election. Likely distractions include these events: House Republicans will probably stage a vote against same-sex marriage during June or July, hoping to harm House Democrats. Bill Clinton's memoir should appear at or before the Democratic party national convention (Boston, late July). After the Dem-Con, TV viewers will turn to the Athens Olympics; and many will disengage from national life, for summer activities and travel, until Labor Day. In early September, seeking to profit from the 9-11 anniversary, Republicans will gather in New York City to coronate King George the Lesser; and to find out whether Cheney will continue as Veep candidate (a decision which is really up to Cheney, not Bush).
