Some 200 people joined the Mutant Street Fest that was organized by a group that called itself West Coast G8 on Tuesday, June 8th. The march was surrounded by the SFPD and the CHP, and the police eventually arrested everyone who was in the street.

§The poetry Movement Grows

I laughed and cried with joy when I saw your blessed heart reading Howl by Allen Ginsberg to the police! It gives me an amazing amout of hope to see the poetry of resistence GROWING! I am such a conservative tradionalist! Poetry should begin an end our zines as tehy did in the old days! Rise UPPPPPPPPPP!

All of you SF protestors give me hope for the coming generations. Let us hope that one police officer was at least subconsciously enlightened by some of Ginsberg's words.
