6/5 9,000 Peaceniks Support 56 Years of Palestine Resistance

On a beautiful sunny June 5th in San Francisco, 37years after one of Israel's invasions of its neighbors, 9,000 people marched down Market Street for peace in the Middle East and civil liberties, jobs and justice at home, with small, but outrageous harassment by a group of fascists waving the Israeli and American flags, calling for peace through strength with their signs, just like Hitler.

In discussing with my fellow peace marchers this new phenomenon of the ruling class using people who believe in the Jewish superstitution to harass and attempt (failed) to disrupt our peace march, I found some amazing ignorance as to who these swine are. Believe it or not, Jews can be fascists just like anyone else. The Zionists are historically anti-Communists and were proud collaborators not just of the Nazis, but also with the anti-Communist witchhunters in the US in the 1940s and 1950s, and were opponents of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, two socialists falsely accused of conspiracy to commit atomic espionage. The official religious Jewish community, which is the Zionist community, did not support the Rosenbergs, who were of, by and for the workingclass. They were Jews Without Money (the title of a classic of American literature by Mike Gold, available at any public library). By defending their innocence to their death, the Rosenbergs literally broke the back of the Cold War.

The Zionists are overwhelming a very wealthy community, and mostly do not live in San Francisco, but rather in swanky places like Walnut Creek, Marin County, etc. They are registered Democrat and Republican and for them, Israel is an investment. They are staunchly pro-capitalist and anti-Communist. Some are members of the ruling class, most are members of the upper middle class (well over $300,000 per year income).

Their support of Israel has absolutely nothing to do with the Holocaust and everything to do with money as Israel is a US military base in the Middle East that exists to protect US oil profits and promote US imperialism.

The Zionists of today are collaborators with US imperialism, known around the world as Nazi USA. The Nazis were first and foremost anti-Communist. Hitler was promoted by the capitalist world to destroy the communist and trade union movements of Germany and the rest of Europe and to destroy the Soviet Union. The library is filled with books on American capitalists who financed Hitler, including but not limited to the grandfather of Pres. Bush.

Both the Democratic and Republican Parties are staunchly pro-Israel, as are all the candidates they run for office. One of the better known local Democrats is Supervisor Tom Ammiano, currently illegally running again for the District 9 (Mission and Bernal Heights) seat after being termed out, having received special permission to run again from the election-frauding Democratic Party of San Francisco who claim to have found a loophole that allows him to run, in the usual Democratic Party mission of keeping the Reds and Greens out of office.

This role of the Democratic Party is well-known among socialists, as is their staunch support of Israel. Ammiano himself claims to feel "Israel's pain" whatever that is. Thus, it is not possible to be a socialist and support Tom Ammiano for this illegal run for office.

It is also not possible to claim to support the needs and interests of the workingclass, such as tenants, if one supports pro-Israel Democrats like Tom Ammiano as the $5 billion per year we give to Israel to murder Palestinians is money that should be spent on the needs of the workingclass right here at home. Thus, Tom Ammiano is not serious when he says he cares about tenants. He only cares about promoting a bankrupt rotten party, the Democrats. It is time to kick the Democrats out of the workingclass communities.

Thus, the campaign slogan for 2004 for all progressive candidates is STOP US AID TO ISRAEL!
