Pictures of the Peace Fresno rally

What great pictures. What dedication, it must have been really hot that day. Love the sign.. "Rebuild Iraq?" "Can't even rebuild Downtown Fresno". Just heard from a CalTrans friend of mine. When looking for a new place for CalTrans offices... the powers in sacramento tossed away the ideas of cheaper rent and keeping the different dept near each other, that the various local dept heads gave to them in a proposal.
Instead.. we taxpayers are paying 2x the amount in rent they were paying before and the person who benefits is the owner of the building that is also housing staff from the Dept of Homeland Security. ( I know, I know... so what else is new.. the developers are the ones who run fresno) The staff was told they would only have to pay $40/month in parking... but that was just for the 1st year.. then it goes up to $85.00. Again, the Sacramento powers that be, are fleecing the taxpayers.. and stiffing it to the state workers.... yeahhh.. really sounds conservative. Gee.. do you think the great Reporters of the Fresno bee will pick up on this news..???
