Rather than enacting real change to cut prison spending by reducing the number of people in prison, Gov. Schwarzenegger proposes cutting a sack lunch for prisoners.

Join the Coalition for Effective Public Safety as we distribute "sack lunches" to our elected representatives bearing the words:

"Cut a Sack Lunch, Save Peanuts; Cut the Number of People in Prison, Save Communities"

along with our proposal to save the state a Billion dollars in prison spending through reforms in parole, prison education, eliminating barriers to successful re-entry, sentencing reform and additional reforms regarding hiring, prison construction, and administrative issues.
