Luna Groove
Conscious Art and Music

Dear friends and family!

This is your invitation to come out and dance
at the hottest Luna Groove yet:
WILDFIRE! on JUNE 12th.(http://www.lalunagroove.com)
The beautiful Bayview Winery garden will be ablaze with Fire Dancers celebrating our burning desire to take back our power and ignite a vote to create change in 2004. Please join us in support of youth and diversity activism in less politicized communities outside the Bay Area.

This will be a fundraiser for SPARK (http://www.spark2004.com)
and The League of Pissed-off Voters (http://www.indyvoter.org)
- grassroots activists working to turn the youth vote from apathy to action. On a global level, it's time to come together as a community and MANIFEST our collective vision of harmony and diversity. You are a part of this community and this is your opportunity to let your spirit shine. Be a community builder while having a blast!

WILDFIRE! is a celebration of awareness and change from the grassroots up. So 100% of your donations will be given to SPARK and the League of Pissed-off Voters. We are producing this event with community support from the San Francisco Alliance for Urban Sustainability (http://www.sfuas.org/) and the Mission Art and Performance Project (http://www.redpoppy.net/) Our staff, performers, and volunteers are donating their hearts and hands to make this a very special evening.

This Luna Groove celebration invokes the power of the Waning Moon to clear out the Dynasty of Dysfunction and help us spring-clean our hearts. We will share our music and our art in a show of support that transcends genres and boundaries. This event will feature a stellar lineup of cutting-edge DJs, brilliant live music, performance art, and dance. Enjoy two floors of dancing then kick back in our garden, to hear spoken-word around the fire, surrounded by the magic of a hundred-year-old roses in sweet abandoned bloomŠ

We will have organic food and refreshments for our guests, but this is also a potluck, so we welcome contributions to the feast; bring a vegetarian dish, or a bottle of wine to share!

We invite you, one and all...to

Shelley Cook - Internationally exhibited installation/performance artist, Cook will entrance the senses, body and spirit, metaphorically exploring fire in the heart. She works from the perspective that, like the subconscious that communicates with the conscious person through remembered dreams, the artist/individual can speak to society by giving form to his or her inner experience. In this way, art, in its many forms, becomes that subconscious voice to society, revealing truth within its images. (http://www.lalunagroove.com)
