Israeli F16 strikes local car in Nablus
GAZA, May 23 (Xinhuanet) -- An Israeli F16 warplane on Sunday fired a rocket at a local Palestinian car driving in the center of the northern West Bank town of Nablus and killed at least two Palestinians, medical sources and witnesses reported.
According to the witnesses, the F16 warplane flew over the townthat had been raided by Israeli army forces early Sunday, then suddenly one rocket was fired at a Mazda white car, which was driving in the neighborhood of Ras el Aein with two Palestinians init.
After a huge explosion was heard, dozens of residents rushed tothe area to get out the bodies and the survivals, the witnesses added.
Medical sources said that at least the remains of two Palestinians had arrived at a hospital in the town, and thee other Palestinians were moderately injured.
The two killed Palestinians were identified as members of Ezzedine Al-Qassam, the armed wing of Islamic resistance movement Hamas.
Israel has been targeting local cars driving in the towns of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, aimed at killing Palestinian militants suspected of involving in attacks against Israelis.
