Join the Phone Workers' Picket Line

Day 1: The berkeley workers marched to a site on Solano Ave. in Albany where they caught the attention of passing motorists. They then marched to another site in Downtown berkeley where they waved and cheered at the honking motorists as they passed. The solidarity was deafening at times! In downtown Oakland, hundreds of strikers marched a two block long picket line in front of the main building which was apparently full of scabs. Community support was very tangible as the sounds of cheers, chants and car horns echoed through the streets of Oakland.
