The Alameda Point Collaborative and BASE School present Alameda Juneteenth 2004, a family friendly day at Alameda Point that will feature music and dance, arts and crafts, food, and activities for kids of all ages. The 2004 Alameda Juneteenth Celebration will take place from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday June 12th, at Alameda Point. The festival will take place on the lawn in front of City Hall West. Featured acts include performances by bay area blues, jazz, gospel and r&b artists, as well as performances by students at BASE. School and APC residents, and an educational program on the significance of Juneteenth. To reach the festival go through the Webster Tube to Alameda. Turn Right on Atlantic Avenue to Main. Turn Right on Main and continue past the Ferry Terminal. Enter the main gate to Alameda Point, the Juneteenth Festival is straight ahead on the lawn. For more information please call 510-898-7849.
