Day 8: Fast 4 Education's last day in Oakland

Today - Tuesday, May 18 - Will be the fasters' last day in Oakland, so whoever can show up today should try to stop by sometime during the day, or at the nightly candle light vigil at 8pm. Last night's event("Put the State on Trial") was very successful in Richmond.

Community supporters and March 4 Education organizers are calling for a large show of support from the community tonight, Tuesday - May 18, to send the strikers off to Sacramento. The strikers will be leaving to continue their fast in Sacramento tomorrow around noon.

Frank Ogawa Plaza is in downtown Oakland at 14th & Broadway, in front of Oakland City Hall, if yr taking BART get off at 12th ST BART
