SMARTEN UP SAFEWAY!
ATTENTION SHOPPERS! PLEASE DISTRIBUTE FAR AND WIDE.
Planning for the Safeway Day of Action is moving forward quickly, and we would love for you to join us in this important action. This year’s shareholder meeting is being billed as one of, if not the highest profile shareholder meeting of the year. This means that we can expect lots of media to be out covering the event. This is the perfect opportunity for us to communicate to the Safeway Board of Directors, and their shareholders that the farmed salmon they are selling is:
• harming the environment
• potentially harmful to human health
• contaminated with high levels of PCBs and dioxins
• threatening wild salmon stocks by transferring disease and parasites from the open net pen farms to wild salmon
• Destroying First Nations’ traditional fishing and shellfish grounds, and disrespecting coastal communities

It is going to be very exciting so come out and participate!
