The names and numbers of the players below are distinguished as those those who either have now or plan to have soon, Nuclear weapons . See the Federation of American Scientists web site on Nuclear weapons.

Japan--none.

Iran--?, working on advanced plutonium production.

North Korea--said to have at least 8 such weapons.

Russia-many, thousands of tactical and strategic missiles.

Afghanistan--none.

China--significant but unknown number of such weapons.

Pakistan--at least five nuclear weapons.

India--at least five, perhaps more.

South Korea--terrified.

See the Center for Defense Information for additional information. For additional information on weapons of mass destruction see the Global Security Organization.

As of April 21, 2004 six of these nations were meeting to discuss the angry Kim Jong Il ,who is president of North Korea. Kim will be, or already has been, present in Beijing for negotiations about North Korea's nuclear weapons program with five other nations. Kim is certifiably insane and may blow up much of South Korea, if not corralled by the international community.

Ever since 1996, Kim's military colleagues have blackballed the United States. George W. Bush who won't deal with this problem even though it surfaced on his watch, is hopeless. Kim's soldiers hover on the edge of famine and are probably too weak to help. Some 37,000 US soldier have been stationed in South Korea since 1952.

Then the Ryongchon station explosion of April 22, 2004 occurred. Kim had just returned from Beijing where he informed Chinese officials that he would continue selling nuclear technology. This threat was too much for Beijing, so it sent Kim a message too threatening to ignore. That's when the explosion was set off within North Korea. Up to this point, China had shipped fuel and food to North Korea. This shipment of fuel and food was cut off and on April 22, 2004 went up in flames with some 3,000 dead or wounded.

The next step might well threaten Taiwan, a move that would set off alarm bells in Washington. Beijing has always threatened Taiwan. China wants to annex this independent island state it sees as falling within its jurisdiction. The threat is quite real, and Washington knows it has promised to protect Taiwan pursuant to a measure adopted by Congress in 1978.

Pakistan harbors AQ Kahn. He is the Father of Pakistan's nuclear technology and has apparently sold some of it to other Muslim nations, so we have to recognize they're a key factor in this entire equation. To my utter amazement, Khan was actually pardoned by Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf for selling life-threatening weapons. Incidentally, both Osama bin Laden and his colleague, Ayman Zawahiri are possibly hiding in Khartoum, Sudan to avoid their capture. Its president is now killing off tribal minorities there and there in a genocidal bloodbath. He is too busy to pay much attention to a few new guests who need protection from Sudanese eager to claim a million or so dollars offered for information leading to their capture.

With respect to North Korea, the United States, Russia and China must agree to tell Kim that this coalition will kill or capture and imprison Kim unless he stops building Korean nuclear weapons. India with its claim of Kashmir on the front burner may threaten hostilities. In the meantime, Iran will sit on the sidelines to see who wins.

There is simply no doubt that Bush invaded Iraq to steal its oil. The evidence may be scant, but its credibility is solid. See page 186 of Woodward's Plan of Attack. On September 19, 2002 there was a meeting in the Cabinet Room with eleven House members present.

"Delving into elements of the war plan, Bush told the group, We will take over the oil fields early-and mitigate the oil shock' interrupting himself to issue the stern warning' Nobody needs to be telling anybody this."

The war in Iraq will end only when the US withdraws its forces from that nation. If one were able to examine the operations of Halliburton and Knowles Brown and Root (KBR), they would see that these two firms, in which Dick Cheney has a significant financial interest, are the two principal companies behind this illegal theft of oil by Bush and a few high level co-conspirators.

I have read Bob Woodward's Plan of Attack carefully. Nowhere have I found even a suggestion that the invasion of Iraq was not a violation of international law. Cf. Nicaragua v. United States, International Court of Justice, 1986. See also Article (2) Paragraph (4)-of the United Nations Charter. No state may use force and violence to interfere with local laws. Bush even lied to the public to get support for his illegal position.

Some of the Bush people argue that these thugs have an end plan, in which US soldiers may march out of Iraq leaving a democracy and all the trappings of a constitution. This is not possible. Paul Bremer, the proconsul, won't let it happen. He keeps his sticky finger on Iraqi steps toward elective freedom (for Kurds, Shiites, and Sunnis) and leaves no doubt he won't approve any final steps until the oil theft leaves him in charge of all oil rights developed by Halliburton and KBR.
