Intersection for the Arts presents its continuing series focusing on local independent publishing houses. Since 1965, Intersection has worked
with thousands of writers through its ongoing literary reading series, the oldest independent one in the state of California.

Intersection’s series focusing on local independent publishing houses continues with two literary publications that explore independent art, identity, storytelling, and culture with intelligence, playfulness, and a sense of humor - McSweeney’s (est. 1999) and Kitchen Sink (est. 2001).
