Raise Your Voice to Hold Avon Accountable!
Thursday, May 13th, 4pm
San Francisco General Hospital
Meet at the corner of Potrero Ave. & 22nd St.

Corporate conscience belongs in a company's products, not just in its marketing. Major cosmetics company, Avon, markets itself as a leader in the fight against breast cancer while selling products that contain harmful chemicals. Avon will be in town for the opening of the Avon Foundation Comprehensive Breast Center at San Francisco General Hospital. Come march, hold signs, and be a presence with Breast Cancer Action as we tell Avon that if they really care about breast cancer they need to remove the harmful chemicals from their products.

Help us send the message loud and clear that Avon should put people's health before profit by:
- Removing parabens - a chemical preservative that may be linked to breast cancer - from its products,
- Reformulating all of its products for U.S. and overseas markets according to the safety standards set by the European Union, which prohibit the use of certain carcinogens, mutagens, and reproductive toxins in cosmetics beginning in September of 2004,
- Fully disclosing all product ingredients, and
- Being transparent and open about how much money they raise for breast cancer and where and how the money is spent.

Everyone is welcome!
