On Friday, May 28th, Angela Y. Davis will be appearing on Critical Resistance Radio on HardKnock Radio, in a rare radio appearance. The show will be airing at 4:00 on 94.1 KPFA, and 89.3 KPFB in the Bay Area, and on 88.1 KFCF in Fresno. Professor Davis will be interviewed by Dorsey Nunn, will discuss her recent book: Are Prisons Obsolete, as well as the larger struggle against the prison industrial complex. Davis is an activist, author, and professor in the History of Consciousness Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Critical Resistance Radio brings news, personal stories, and cultural highlights from the Prison Industrial Complex to the free speech airwaves of California, reaching inside a majority of California's prisons while bringing the voices of prisoners and prisoners' families outside the prison walls.
Critical Resistance on HardKnock Radio airs the last Friday of every month at 4pm on KPFA, 94.1 fm.
