Feinstein-Boxer Police Terror in Bayview

The only significant black homeowner area of San Francisco, Bay View Hunters Point is under a vicious military retaliation assault by the Feinstein-Boxer death penalty lynch mob that the 5/5/04 SF Bayview newspaper accurately calls an "occuping army."

The excellent article by Mesha Irizarry entitled "BVHP Under Siege by Occuping Army," starts with the following harrowing description:

"For 16 hours on Monday, in blatant retaliation for the killing of Officer Isaac Espinoza on April 20 in Hunters Point, the sky rumbled with the sound of a California Highway Patrol plane and helicopter as an unprecedented armed force of countless city cops joined by 32 CHP officers moved in to occupy Bay View Hunters Point under the pretext of curbing traffic violations, stopping over 250 cars and arresting 30 community members. "

One person from Hunters Point is accused of killing a cop, who many wonder what he was doing there, and the entire neighborhood is attacked by police and highway patrol as collective punishment, clearly because this is a workingclass and predominately non-white neighborhood.

This lynch mob is led by a police chief, Heather Fong, who supports the death penalty and has a reputation for refusing to prosecute such employers as those at the Mitchell Brothers who allow dancers to be raped at their business. Fong, is of course, appointed by the mayor, Gavin Newsom, a vicious reactionary who does not hesitate to attack tenants both housed and homeless. Newsom is proudly supported by the death penalty lynch mob leaders Senators Feinstein and Boxer, who want fascist Attorney General John Ashcroft's Justice Department to prosecute San Francisco murder cases as they know for sure he is as good a fascist thug as they are. Fong, Newsom, Feinstein and Boxer are all good Democrats, proving there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans, so stop voting for these evil death penalty, police, prison and war-promoting parties' candidates.

Gavin Newsom just appointed Louise Renne to sit on the Police Commission. Renne's biggest claim to fame was her cover-up of massive election fraud by "mayor" Willie Brown. See http://www.brasscheck.com/stadium

People like Mesha Irizarry should sit on the Police Commission for she certainly knows the problems of her community with the police.

For those of you who are only motivated by self-interest, the chickens always come home to roost. If the fasicst government can get away with this in one area, they will certainly try to do it anywhere else they see fit. And, of course, we all pay for this nightmare, which has absolutely nothing to do with fighting crime and everything to do with terrorizing the workingclass for daring to support a district attorney who opposes the death penalty, as does most of hte rest of San Francisco.

The people of San Francisco are very proud of the fact that all candidates for district attorney ran on an anti-death penalty platform and that it is well-known that it is difficult, if not impossible, to obtain the death penalty from San Francisco juries. We proudly join all of Europe, where the death penalty is banned, in our firm opposition to the death penalty. It is time the voters of San Francisco take our opposition to the death penalty one step further and refuse to vote for the candidates of the death penalty parties, the Democrats and Republicans.

Crime is not eliminated with more police terror; it is eliminated by eliminating poverty. The best thing we can do is eliminate the police force and take the money we spend on these worthless thugs who hissed the DA for opposing the death penalty and make at least $80,000 per year plus benefits, and spend it on social services. The workingclass communities everywhere desparately need better schools, health care programs, housing, transportation, an end to pollution caused by PG&E's power plants which cause the high incidence of cancer in Bayview, and all other social service needs.
