5/20 Bike to Work Day Approaches

by BFBC
If previous years are any indication, we expect about 50,000 cyclists out on the streets!

Coming May 20!
Keep your eyes on this page (http://www.sfbike.org/?btwd). Over the next few weeks we will continue to add information about our upcoming Bike to Work Day - the wildly successful annual event. If previous years are any indication, we expect about 50,000 cyclists out on the streets!

What is Bike to Work Day?
Bike to Work Day is an event to promote cycling as a healthy, economical, practical, and eco-friendly form of transportation. Many people already use their bikes to commute to work, especially as conditions for cycling have improved in our city. But for many others BTWD will be a new experience, and one that will hopefully hook them on the idea.

During the day we will have energizer stations sprinkled throughout the city where you can load up on free coffee, treats, and even a few pats on the back for choosing bike commuting. You'll also find lots of free information on getting around the Bay Area by bike. Map and list of stations available thru http://www.sfbike.org/?btwd

Take a Bike Ed Class!
Get ready for Bike to Work Day by taking a Street Skills for Cyclists course, free for SFBC members. Get more info and sign up here
