Marriage Media Training 101

Back by popular demand, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation
(GLAAD) and the San Francisco Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Community
Center would like to invite you to an encore marriage media training on
Saturday, April 17 from 1:30-5:30 P.M. -- following a media ethics panel
happening earlier from 11:00-12:00 P.M.

Same-sex couples that are married or plan to marry, activists, community
leaders, and straight allies are welcomed to attend this spokespeople
training to learn how to effectively access and engage the media in your
local communities. With over 60 participants attending our previous
training, this workshop will focus on the same content and curriculum while
providing current messaging and new video reels.

GLAAD's marriage media training will provide the techniques and media tools
necessary to become more effective spokespeople around marriage equality.
Workshop will focus on marriage media messaging, discuss how to develop key
messages, practice interviewing techniques around the marriage issue, and
learn various ways to access and engage media professionals.
