These workshops are a great opportunity to educate yourself, share your thoughts, and get involved with local advocacy groups trying to create a better San Francisco.
Our third workshop features two long-time participants with San Francisco Redevelopment Agency issues, Jim Morales and John Elberling. Perhaps no other city agency has a more controversial past than the RDA, yet no other city agency spends more resources building new affordable housing than the RDA - a classic San Francisco conundrum. Join us on April 29th and learn how an RDA operates, how it defines its mission and how the community can help guide its activities. Audience questions and involvement are encouraged.
The monthly Green Party seminar series includes a diverse range of topics and speakers--SF Supervisors, activists, attorneys, developers, nonprofit builders and city planners--policymakers and advocates from all sides of our housing and development battles. Here’s a chance for you to consider diverse, frequently contradictory opinions, and make up your own mind on important issues facing the city. The prior two seminars have proven informative, lively and entertaining. For more information about the seminar series and the Green Party Housing and Land Use working group, see: http://www.sfgreenparty.org/workinggroups/indivworkgroup.gem?wgidx=13&action=homepage
The seminars are free and open to the public.
