Can Indybay just simply accept that the SF Bay is no longer so....It has been renamed the San Jose-San Francisco Bay Area.

"San Francisco Bay Area" means "the area around San Francisco Bay," whereas some government entities like the Census Bureau and the Office of Management and Budget prefer to name areas by their largest city or cities, thus the new "San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland, CA combined statistical area" (which includes Santa Cruz).

The combined statistical area is composed of six smaller metropolitan statistical areas: Napa, San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont, San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, Santa Cruz-Watsonville, Santa Rosa-Petaluma, and Vallejo-Fairfield.
