NBC11: "Peace Activists Call For Continued Investigation Of Oakland Clash"
http://www.nbc11.com/news/2977961/detail.html

Oakland Cannabis Initiative. We need to collect 30,000 by June 21 to put it on the November 2004 ballot. (More info below.) You must be over 18 years old and qualified to vote in the city of Oakland. No experience is required. Quick facts about the Oakland Cannabis Initiative:
1) The OCI calls on the city to Tax & Regulate cannabis as soon as possible under state law
2) Makes private, adult cannabis offenses Oakland's lowest law enforcement priority, effective immediately.
3) Takes marijuana dealing off the streets and away from kids (by establishing a system to license businesses for sales to adults.)
4) Generates substantial revenue for vital city services like schools and libraries.
Sponsored by the Oakland Civil Liberties Alliance (OCLA) Petitioners: 510-967-3948

# What does the video show? [See the video here.]
The 55-second film shows guards brutally beating two helpless wards. The wards are subdued, lying face-down, their hands cuffed behind their backs.
The guards kick the boys in the face and body. One guard punches a boy 28 times in the face and upper body. Another douses the prone, handcuffed boys with pepper spray.
Other guards watch this abuse idly.
The San Joaquin County District Attorney is refusing to prosecute these guards. Now it's up to Attorney General Bill Lockyer. Will he protect the victims or the abusers?
Come demand that Bill Lockyer do the right thing and prosecute these guards!

# 4/6: Who Shot JFK? Find out tonight! http://www.craigslist.org/eve/28153986.html
Tonight at 7 pm in SF (15 Boardman Place @ Bryant between 6th and 7th) will be the first public showing of the full version of the Zapruder film in the United States. A Japanese crew was able to track down six missing fames of the film and put the full version together with the audio recording from a Dallas policeman’s radio. The results are astounding. Not only can one hear that five shots were fired (in constrast to the official three), but experts from England and Poland were able to determine that the shots were fired by three different guns/gunmen in separate locations. At the showing will be Paul Kangas who as a young man served in the Navy and served in JFK’s militarty security escort. He can tell you firsthand that the regular military escort was pulled on that fateful day and that he and his fellow soldiers knew immediately that the official story was impossible. There is no set charge but a donation would be appreciated. Seating is limted to 50 people so come on time if you wish to join this historic event.

# April 7, 2004 Oakland Docks, 5pm
Oakland 25 Rally: An Injury to One, Is An Injury to All!!.
On April 7, 2003, in the port of Oakland, police launched the most violent attack against anti-war protestors in the U.S. since the beginning of the war in Iraq. Demonstrators, legal observers and longshoremen who were going to work were hit by police fire. Police used "crowd control" weapons in a lethal manner, shooting directly at people, injuring dozens and sending several to the hospital. Making a mockery of justice, the DA has charged the victims of police brutality instead of the real culprits, the police and CATIC, the California state anti-terrorism agency that gave them the green light! As March 20, the anniversary of the start of this war for oil and empire, approaches we must defend the democratic right to protest in the port and in the street. Bush's lies have caused this senseless slaughter in Iraq, while ripping up the Bill of Rights.
Demand the Unjust Charges Be Dropped! Defend the Right to Protest! End the War Now!!
Come join in solidarity in support of those arrested and the right to protest.
