On August 2, 1991, Kuwait was attacked by Iraq in what is now known as the Gulf War. This war ended in defeat for a monstrous tyrant, Saddam Hussein. On March 20, 2003, Iraq was invaded by the armed forces of the United States whose president was George W. Bush. The President during Gulf War I was George H.W. Bush. His Secretary of Defense was Richard Cheney, now Vice President of the United States. Colin Powell is now Secretary of State.
