On August 2, 1991, Kuwait was attacked by Iraq in what is now known as the Gulf War. This war ended in defeat for a monstrous tyrant, Saddam Hussein. On March 20, 2003, Iraq was invaded by the armed forces of the United States whose president was George W. Bush. The President during Gulf War I was George H.W. Bush. His Secretary of Defense was Richard Cheney, now Vice President of the United States. Colin Powell is now Secretary of State. He was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in 1991.
