American River Parkway Update/Action Alert

We are asking you to continue to help us ensure funding for the American River Parkway. The next step is the Board of Supervisors budget workshop on public safety on Tuesday, April 13. We hope to have 100 or more Parkway supporters at the workshop to remind the supervisors of the high level of public support for the Parkway. Public safety includes Parkway rangers, but we believe many of the “quality of life” programs discussed at the March 9 budget workshop also enhance public safety.

Final budget decisions will be made at a series of Board meetings beginning May 4. The budget, including any cuts, is anticipated to go into effect on July 1.

The April 13 meeting is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. at 700 H Street. We will update you on further details as we have more information. Please contact me if you have any comments or questions. Thank you for your continued support.
