Will freedom reach Bay State on May 18?

Dear sisters and brothers,

As a Californian, living in San Francisco, I've just been
assuming that the state of Massachusetts will begin issuing
same-sex marriage licenses around May 18.

But is this certain? Some readers of Boston's largest
queer paper don't seem so sure.

In an online poll, in February, Bay Windows asks,
"Do you believe Massachusetts will begin issuing marriage
licenses to same-sex couples on May 18?"

Only 76 percent said Yes; while 16 percent said No; and 8
percent said they were "Not sure".
