Idriss Stelley Foundation is an organization created
through the settlement of Idriss Stelley\'s vs. City &
County and SFPD case and its allocation to his mother
mesha Monge-Irizarry.

Her only child, 22 was killed by SFPD at the Sony
Metreon Theater on June 13, 2001, 48 shots, 9
officers, as he stood alone in an empty theater.

ISF office is located at 4921 3rd St., in the heart of
Bayview District, between Palou and Quesada in San
Francisco, Open house 3-27-04
Then opened Monday through Thursday 12 to 6 P.M.

ISF provides free, confidential services to biological
and extended families whose loved ones have been
disabled or killed by law enforcement.

* ONELOVE Quilt making
* The UMI Project (Voices of the
Voiceless Book, artwork from children impacted by law
enforcement brutality)
* Support counseling
* Post Traumatic Stress Syndrom
self-help support group
* Community altar
* Trilingual Spanish/French/English
services available
* Family outreach training program
* Monitoring of SFPD / input in SFPD
trainings
* Police Reform (prop H)
implementation in collaboration with ACLU &
Bay Area Police Watch
* Volunteer and undergraduate
program (Pre-Trial Diversion/Project 20 option
available)

* Basic computer training for
Families & youth affected by law enforcement
misconduct, free E-mail & Internet access
* \"No Pigs in DA Hood\" Sundays 6
P.M. on 103.3 FM, talk show on law enforcement
accountability.

The primary focus of ISF, justified by casualty
statistics is to:
serve the Bay Area African American community and
families of color, although no one will be turned
down.
Home visits can be scheduled if needed.

We are seeking volunteers and interns to staff
our upcoming bilingual 24-HR crisis line, teach basic
computer skills,provide confidential support
counseling, staff special events and help with
fundraising as well as quilt making.

Idriss Stelley Foundation depends on the community in
terms of donations(clothing and food for the families,
sewing notions and fabric,
computer equipment, etc.)
