# Perspective on 9-11
Exposing the Lies of the Official Story and Seeking the Truth
In this multimedia presentation, Ken Jenkins will guide an exploration into
the mystery of what really happened on Sept 11, 2001. There will be
particular emphasis on the historical context. Going beyond the
pioneering video by Michael Ruppert, excerpts of ten videos, including The
Great Deception and GNN’s Aftermath will be shown, along with many
Powerpoint slides. There will be ample time for questions and discussion.
"The truth behind 9/11 offers an unprecedented opportunity: to bust the war
game once and for all, to usher in a new era of lasting peace, where war
is no longer an option."
Ken Jenkins has been giving presentations about 9-11 for two years. An
award winning video and media producer, he has an education in engineering
and has done extensive study in psychology and metaphysics. He brings a
multifaceted and balanced approach to this investigation. He is a
featured speaker at the upcoming 9-11 International Inquiry in SF.

# ~KookNotCook, with our friends Bay Area Vegetarians and the Upaya Center
invites you to a Raw and/or Vegan Potluck. Saturday, March 13, 6 pm at the Upaya Center, 478 Santa Clara & Grand, Oakland.
~6 pm: Tea-Time; bring a cup/mug/glass/bowl/gourd, relax and socialize.
Feel free to bring a poem or story to share.
~6:30 pm: Dinner-Time; announcements,a few silent moments, then commence feasting!
~Please bring generous quantities of high-quality, healthful foods. Bold culinary experiments and minimalist simple foods are both welcome.
~Raw dishes especially encouraged! The idea is to have a gathering with mostly uncooked foods so those who wish can get an all-raw meal, while welcoming various veg folks to participate and enjoy.
~If you're not familiar with raw food preparation, it's fine to bring a wholesome cooked vegan dish. But hey, why not use this as an opportunity to be adventuresome,
try your hand at un-cooking? It doesn't have to be ultra-gourmet or fancy.
~Be sure to bring: enough food to share, list of ingredients to put next to dish, serving utensil, reusable eating dish/utensil.
~Please don't bring: junk food, chips, candy, sodas, bottled juices, white-flour baguettes; bring the kind of tasty, nourishing stuff you're hoping the other people will bring!
~Don't use any ingredients taken from animals or bees without their written consent.
~No non-reusable plates/utensils unless you plan to eat them afterwards.
~No RSVP required. $1 from most everyone allows us to give something to Upaya,
no one turned away. If a few people can stay to help clean up, great!

# Help Supervisor Matt Gonzalez stop chain stores from
sneaking up on our neighborhoods!
Come speak in support of Supervisor Gonzalez's "Formula Business"
Legislation at City Hall on Monday, March 15th! WHERE?
City Hall (at Van Ness and Grove)Room 263
In front of the Board of Supervisors' Land Use Committee
WHEN? 1) Monday, March 15th at 4:00 p.m.
You can speak during the "public comment" & it should be fairly early
in the meeting. Now: Call, write, and email the Supervisors to let them know you support the
legislation that seeks to protect neighborhood character and small
businesses. This legislation will be heard at the Land Use Committee on
Monday, March 15th and then will be heard at the full Board on Tuesday,
March 23rd. For the numbers and emails of the Supervisors, click on
http://www.sfgov.org/site/bdsupvrs_index.asp
WHAT does Matt Gonzalez's legislation do?
* Requires neighborhood residents and businesses to be notified
whenever a chain store (with more than eleven stores and standardized
services/decor/etc.) intends to move into the area.
* Specifies additional permitting reviews for proposed formula retail
stores in Cole Valley and prohibits formula businesses from a four-block
area of Hayes Valley. WHY?
* Gives residents the option of having a more prominent voice in
planning for the future of their neighborhoods
* Helps even the playing field between large chains and small
independent businesses
* Supports the local economy
* Prevents San Francisco from further deterioration into Anytown, USA
* Saves the unique character of San Francisco neighborhoods
* Discourages architectural homogenization
* Promotes unique shopping experiences provided by independent stores
