Barbara Lee Proposes Commission on Haiti

Good luck getting anything done in the fake congress . . . but it's nice to know she's doing what she can.
Lee proposes commission on Haiti
By Josh Richman, STAFF WRITER

U.S. Rep. Barbara Lee introduced legislation Monday calling for an independent, bipartisan commission to probe the Bush administration's involvement in the recent crisis in Haiti.

The TRUTH (The Responsibility to Uncover the Truth about Haiti) Act would establish a panel of 10 members -- five chosen by Democratic leaders, five by Republican leaders.

"The Bush administration's efforts in the overthrow of a democratically elected government must be investigated," said Lee, D-Oakland.

"All of the evidence brought forward thus far suggests that the administration has, in essence, carried out a form of regime change, a different variation than it took in Iraq, but still regime change."
