Anti-Eviction Community Meeting & Brunch

Location Details:
5912 Genoa Street @ 59th Street, Oakland, Calif.

The BaAtT Cave collective house in north Oakland -- for many years home of the Bicycle Library, a Food Not Bombs cookhouse, and providing affordable housing for activists -- is facing eviction by a new landlord. This new owner owns a large number of other houses and has been using fairly thugish tactics to harrass us into moving out (e.g. breaking in to the house with a crow bar).. we've even had to obtain a restraining order against them. Our supposed "eviction date" is April 12th but we're fighting back! Help put a stop to unjust evictions by attending our community meeting and brunch on Sunday, March 28th at 12 noon -- food and drink provided but feel free to bring something to share! 5912 Genoa Street * (510) 595-1803 * b@tcave.bikelibrary.org http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&address=5912+Genoa+Street+&city=Oakland&state=CA
