EDWARDS, THE CRACKER FACTOR

Edwards, like Bush, cannot seem to speak without telling a lie.

If the democrats actually want to win the election I think it would be wise to offer a Kerry/Edwards ticket. Dumbed down politics for a brain dead nation. They could be a contender.

Crackers, rednecks, and cowboys are slightly different animals although the differences are subtle.

Bush will probably get most of their votes based on racism and gun control issues. This demographic, like most Americans, have one primary concern. Their own life and their family. They generally don't believe that the government represents their interests and that democrats especially are bent on taking away their right to bear arms. Niether are they concerned with the brutality of Bush's foreign policies. The death of an Arab or a New Yorker is of no concern to a cowboy.

At any rate, If Kerry were to select some voice of reason as a running mate it will likely hurt their chances of winning. This is especially true if he chooses a token woman or a minority in an attempt look "diverse".

Yes, you can send a cracker to a radioactive war zone, send him home sick, tell him he protected freedom, and he will believe you. Getting him to vote for you again is a simple matter of inciting hatred and prejudice against an enemy. Any contrived enemy will do the trick.

Are people who have a southern drawl really as stupid as they sound? Being born and raised in the deep south myself I have to testify yes. They are at least as stupid as they sound, sometimes more so.
