How many workers voted on the grocery contract?

How many workers voted on the grocery contract? The only figure I have seen is that 86% of those who did vote voted for it. 70,000 workers were on strike or locked out.

We are going to continue to see these defeats until we rid the unions of all of the labor lieutenants of capitalism running these unions, kick the Democratic Party, the twin party of the Republican Party, and all other capitalist organizations out of the unions, and require that labor officials make the same salary as the workers they represent.

Labor in this country has been retreating since 1950, when it represented the grand total of 35% of the workingclass, a pathetic figure even then. Now it is only 13%. This is the bitter legacy of the anti-communist witchhunts of the 1940s and 1950s, which was first and foremost an attack on labor.
