they have privitized the airwaves and media outlets now they are trying their hand at usurping spontaneous acts of art(theater,spoken word,etc).
this is the same kind of corporate take overs of alternative ideas.last years peoples day festival,sponsored by mexican/latin groups,cfnv,ahhyeah!,peace fresno,fpd and citibank, known for its bailout of latin american despots like brasil.
at pdf no one brought up the fact of citibanks exploitation of latin america,why?because it was sponsored by citibank.
are we going to let the rogue festival,a festival of spontaneous art be privitized by by clear channels thrist to usurp all?
irresponsible "activism" has allowed corporations to send out their neo-liberal good guy image into the fresno "progressive" scene and infiltrate what could be a very cultural experience,is just another clear channel brothel.
the sponateously formed group"media liberation front" has formed for the rouge festival to educate festival goers on media concentration and clear channels involvement,and hopefully some mics will be seized to broadcast a independent media message in spite of clear channels attempts to limit free media.
