COMMUNITY LEAFLETING
Gather briefly at Mosswood Park, MacArthur Blvd. (btwn Webster and
Broadway), in Oakland, CA. Info: 510-655-5764

distribute -- make sure to come at 12pm sharp to catch the group before
they leave the park and fan out into the community.

campaign to Free Mumia. Bring names and ADDRESSES of people and

SF, CA) - Mass Mailing to over 2,200 people with information on the March
20 anti-war/anti-occupation demonstration, our April 3 panel discussion on
the death penalty (see below), and of course, APRIL 24.

*SAVE THE DATE: SATURDAY, April 3, 1pm in San Francisco, panel discussion
- "Freeing Innocent People on Death Row - From Kevin Cooper to Mumia
Abu-Jamal." The Mobilization voted to organize a panel discussion on the
death penalty, and we are inviting the lead attorneys for both Mumia and
Kevin, plus representatives from the Mobilization and Kevin's defense
committee, as well as on exonerated death row inmate. Additional details to
follow.

NLG Student Day Against the Death Penalty
The National Lawyers Guild is urging each law school chapter to highlight
the case of Mumia Abu-Jamal, the NLG's Jailhouse Vice-President, whose case
is at a critical point.
New College in S.F. - a teach-in, a film screening and posting of death
penalty statistics throughout the campus. Hastings Law School - hosting a
brown bag lunch for all students, staff and faculty which will include a
panel discussion on death row prisoners.

The National Lawyers Guild student chapters are organizing death penalty
forums around the country during the week of March 1-7. The University of
San Francisco chapter is showing "A Case for Reasonable Doubt" on
Wednesday, March 3rd from 12:30 to 1:30 and we want send a speaker to
update the case and give out fact sheets and leaflets for April 24th. Go
