2/29: Leap Day in Berkeley
March, critical mass, run amok
Sunday February 29th, 6pm, Berkeley BART
Sunday February 29th, 6pm, Berkeley BART
Are you gonna use your extra day like you use up so many other days- slaving away at your job to make the bosses richer? Life is far too short to spend days, weeks, years just getting by- getting treated like an object. How much of your life do you really get to control? How often are you really fully alive and free?
Leap forth on Leap Day! Leaping is good- it's fun, it looks good, it gets you out of the gring of the everyday...you very literally leave the earth, fly free, weightlesss. Who knows where you'll end up?
The organizers are requesting that folks bring pillows, potted plants, masks or other disguises, skateboards, noisemakers, signs, running shoes, and the realization that nothing is impossible.

this is fun
What the hell happened? Our leap day plans were greatly affected by constant rain here in Houston. We had a bike ride and guerilla gardining, but due to rain we never had enough people together in the same place to get any other plans rolling. We'd love to see pictures and whatnot.

Well, the Daily Cal had this detail free story. They demonstrate that they were there with this photo, but they aren't going to tell you about it. I heard a report that there was a lot more to it than this, and that there were a lot of people there: http://www.dailycal.org/article.php?id=14383
Here are some articles emphasizing the reporting agenda of the Daily Cal:
