by couldn't make it
I couldn't make the show. Could someone who did go write a little reportback on how it went?
Thanks.

missed the opening acts..

show sold out. lots of people turned away, place was not big enough, and then with the number that didnt show and the scalper action (tix were originally 5$), seemed a lot of space was left empty and the folks that wanted to come would have filled a bigger space with proper outreach...

could have and should have been a free show at Cal, outdoors!
shitty sound :( too.

sorry to be so negative, i love DP, and this could have been so much better!

I appreciate the above comment but I have to add my 2Cents and then some. *disclaimer* I am one of the head organizers so I may be a bit biased.

Word got back to me that all of the artists ripped the stage and had the crowd pleased.
This event was sold out and we sold over 900 tix (capacity was 900). Very true that not everybody showed up, but that's just the way things went down. Publicity was done last minute for reasons I wont go into. This type of event could not have happened on Berkeley's campus, especially not outside cuz of the strict ass policies the University has. Sorry you thought the sound was shitty but keep in mind Sweet's Ballroom was built for big bands/not amplified sound and so we hired JK Sounds cuz they are tops in the bay area...the sound engineer did wonders for us tho..

I could go on and on but overall I appreciate all the support we got and big ups to all those who attended!
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
