Oakland Councilmembers Plan To Set Up A
Nuisance Eviction Program!

A POLICE STATE PROGRAM TO EVICT RENTERS!

MOST INFORMATION WILL COME FROM THE POLICE
TO BE USED AGAINST THE RENTERS!

The City of Oakland wants the right to REQUIRE
landlords to evict anyone that is being targeted
by the City of Oakland as a NUISANCE.

The City of Oakland wants the POWER to get around the
landlords and obtain the right to directly EVICT any
individual residing in a rental unit, condominium rental unit,
or renter in commercial properties that is considered a nuisance
by the City of Oakland.

THE NUISANCE EVICTION PROGRAM

Basic new tasks for the City if passed:
*Reviewing cases for possible eviction.
*Assembling reports and other materials for evidence
collection to be used against the renters.
*Preparing and sending notices to landlords and
tenants requiring eviction.
*Following up to determine compliance.
*Monitoring or approving settlements.
*Handling evictions.
*Issuing nuisance citations when there is no compliance.

Are you ready to have the Oakland Police (The RIDERS) collect and
gather information to target the renters of Oakland as being
a NUISANCE?

Are you ready to have the City of Oakland claim that you, your
friends, loved ones or neighbors are a NUISANCE?

Renters do not have to be arrested, cited, or convicted of
the conduct to face eviction by the City as a NUISANCE!

Heresay may be used against the renters!

The City is not required to reveal the names of POLICE INFORMANTS
or so-called witnesses that want to remain anonymous!

Any landlord or neighbor may allege that drug activity may be happening in
a tenants apartment to have a tenant targeted as being a
NUISANCE!

This Nuisance Eviction Program Is Designed To Operate Without
Any Due Process Of Law & To Avoid The Courts!

Evictions & Nuisance Actions Only Require A Preponderance Of The
Evidence To Prove The Case, Not The "Beyond A Reasonable Doubt"
Standard Required For A Criminal Conviction!

Everyone Knows That The Landlords Will Tell Any Lie Necessary
To Have Renters Evicted And That They Do!

During The Measure EE Campaign, Landlords Accused Senior Citizens
Of Being Drug Dealers That Will Never Face Eviction If It Passes!

The Nuisance Eviction Ordinance Is A Very DANGEROUS WEAPON
That Can Never Be Trusted With In The Hands Of Corrupt Oakland
Officials Or The Riders!

Say NO To The Nuisance Eviction Ordinance!

Be There At City Hall On Tuesday, Febuary 17!
