Kucinich at UC Berkeley 2/13

by cp
Dennis Kucinich spoke at Lower Sproul plaza of UC Berkeley on the thirteenth of February, noon.

Dennis Kucinich gave a fairly inspiring speech with good jokes to a crowd of several hundred. He had positions reflecting those of most progressives, but differing with those offered by many of the other democrat candidates. I couldn't tell if this bus, powered by Biodiesel, is his bus or if it is the bus of some of his supporters.
§This is Kucinich himself.

He came on after some weird people rapped about him. He answered people's questions and is a smart speaker.

I asked Kucinich a simple question: do you believe the US should continue to send military aid to Israel? the answer was "I would work to bring the two sides together, blah, blah, blah...." I then asked again, and he again said he said he would not say what he would do.

It was not a difficult question. Why the evasive answer?

ja, I don't think he was necessarily that bad on that question. I'd need to see a position paper to make a judgement. There is also the possibility of joining the party I'm registered in - the Peace and Freedom party, which is running Leonard Peltier as their candidate. I think the P&F website is sort of embarrassing and I seem to hardly support a lot of their principles lately. Recently I was trying to figure out if I actually have to change registration to vote for Kucinich. Last primary, I voted for Bill Simon on the republican ballot because I knew he'd defeat himself and I wouldn't have to vote for Davis in the regular election. The precinct just let us select which party ballot to use. But now they seem to be saying that you have to be enrolled in the democrat party to vote in the primary.
