Saturday, August 31, 2002 from 8 p.m. to midnight experience "Exposure" an evening of visionary current-event-oriented video documentaries and exotic and esoteric music at the SomArts Cultural Center, 944 Brannan St. in San Francisco, California. Admission is $12 general and $10 students. "Exposure" features Sundance Film Festival award-winning mini-documentary Guerrilla News Network (GNN.tv)'s incredible collection of short documentaries as well as "Not In My Name" from the British radical film company Platform Films. This evening of documentaries is a perfect foil to the intense patriotic rush of the upcoming 911 memorials. If you question the story of 911 and the "War on Terrorism" you won't want to miss this evening which brings together the radical music community and the political activist movements into one thrilling and thought provoking evening. Following the documentaries will be the music of Uum, a Bay Area tribal, trance music ensemble featuring Dwight Loop, Ray Regan, Lee Howard and Scott Railsback (electronics, percussion and didjeridoo) as well as Bay Area experimental electronic music trio FuzzyBunny with Chris Brown (Mills College), Tim Perkis and Scot Gresham-Lancaster. Also, DJ UBO will spin electronic worldly grooves into the night. Also, throughout the evening other short films and readings will take place, expressing the outrage, protests, heart-felt emotion and also solution-based optimism for the future of this country and the world as we continue this transformation of our world. Tickets are available at the door. Phone info: 415-472-7530 "Exposure" is presented by non-profit organization 21News.org and Earwaves Network, in collaboration with GNN.tv, Not In Our Name Project and
